I thought that Walk the Line was a better film than Capote, but when it came to the acting, Philip Seymour Hoffman did a better job than Joaquin Phoenix and I think he deserved the Oscar. It was a close call

I would have voted for Capote, and I haven't even seen either of them. The reason is that Walk the Line isn't the story of Cash, but the story of him and his wife more so. It would have been better if they focused on his music career which is more interesting to people than his love life. I know both stories and Capote sounds better.

I would have to say Capote the perfomances were stllar it really made you think and left you with a strange feeling in the pit of your stomach when it was over. Walk the line was fairly interesting but i live in Hendersonville, TN and love johnny cash but here his story is common discussion.

I would have to go with "Capote". The acting was great, and the film played out beautifully. Hoffman deserved that oscar and any other award he won. He was amazing. The film should of at least been nominated for "best film" at the oscars.

'Walk the Line' was so unbearably bland. It was standard television biopic quality. It should have been on ABC or TBS, not in cinemas. 'Capote', on the other hand, was subtle, thoughtful and handled very well. Hoffman's performance was outstanding and deserved every award and accolade it received.
