Evolution is 100% world-wide accepted fact, including the evolution of man. Everything in the fossil record supports only evolution and no other theory.

There is ZERO evidence for a higher being causing anything. This is why people who are religious need faith, you can't see or study the actions of a deity, by definition. Evolution has ZERO faith and ALL evidence.

Scientists (real ones) have been studying and supporting evolution for over 150 years, and still nothing has pointed to creationism. There is clear links and transitional forms between everything in the fossil record to the Class-Family level, if not Genus-Species level. And this includes humans, which there are several 'missing links' which are well described and studied, people just choose to ignore this. Sure, there are still things we don't know, but that's why science is not stagnent and dead. We learn more every day, that's what happens when you keep an open mind and follow the scientific method.

Let me turn your question around, if Creationism was correct and science could definitively prove Creationism (and thus the existence of God), why would they not? That would be the greatest scientific discovery in the history of the world. No one would pass that up to maintain the 'status quo'. There is no conspiracy to hide creation evidence. Anyone who knows real scientists knows they are glory-mongers first. They love to prove others wrong to enhance their own standing. And if any scientist could prove Creation/God, it would've been done a long time ago.

Go to a museum, take a class in biology, go to reputable sites on the Internet (like AAAS: http://www.aaas.org/news/press_room/evolution ) and find out for yourself.

The best evidence of evolution is the fossil record, which demonstrates beyond any reasonable doubt that new species have replaced earlier species ever since life first appeared on earth.

The best evidence for creationism is that the universe exists, and therefore must have come into existence, and therefore must have been produced by something/someone which is outside of the physical universe and outside of time itself.

Note that this is not an either/or situation. Both these bodies of evidence exist, indicating that both these lines of thought are valid, and that in all probability both creation and evolution are true. Often they are portrayed as conflicting concepts, but they are not. Creation addresses first causes and origins. Evolution addresses ongoing change in already existing things. There is no conflict and virtually no overlap.

Evolutionism: There is a plethora of evidence to support this theory. It has become an almost unchallenged theory to explain the development of life. Even religious leaders of most faiths have accepted this teaching. Darwin's "Natural Selection" makes perfect sense and is noticeably evident if you take an even casual look at the development of any species over time.

Creationism: There isn't a shred of tangible evidence to support this theory, but the vast majority of Earth's population believe in a Supreme Being of some sort. Of course this is the same population which only a few centuries ago thought the planet was flat, so how smart are we really?

You can't prove or disprove Creationism (or God for that matter). You either have faith or you don't.

The real trick is knitting these two theories together. My spin on it is that evolution, like all the laws of nature, physics, and science govern the behavior of all things. But it is God who put the wheels in motion. It is he who designed not only the structure and complexity of life and the cosmos, but also of the laws that govern them.

Does God influence our universe in any way, or does he just let things unfold as the laws dictate? I think God intentionally designed life and the universe so complex that the true nature of how things work would always be a mystery to us. This mystery creates the opportunity for him to affect our lives without leaving any footprints. No tangible proof of his involvement at all.

That way when we believe, we believe on faith and faith alone. There wouldn't be much value in faith if God wrote his email address onthe sky would there?

The best evidence for evolution is in the fossil record and in the DNA found in life. There is no evidence for creationism because it is a belief and all of its sources come from the Bible, which is not a science book but is a book for religons.

The best evidence for evolution is the fossil record of incremental change. The best evidence for creationism is Genesis.

One of the best examples of evolution in action is the rise in population of black moths in Victorian England. The rise in coal-burning industry left a lot of soot on many things, trees buildings, etc. Before this, the most common type of moth to be found was a grey moth. Afterwards, when these moths would land on pretty much anything, they would be clearly visible and eat-able, whereas the black moths, previously in the monority would survive better because they could hide better in the soot covered countryside.

As for creationism, I don't really support it, but if there was something to be said for it, it would be the incredible complexity of the universe, and the incredibly narrow window of necessary conditions that need to exist for the possibility of life anywhere in the universe. It does tend to point toward a greater intelligence, even if this intelligence doesn't spend its time flinging thunderbolts or sending people to hell.

The Books of the Law have 70 meanings. Creationists see only one of them.

Other folks have given you much evolutionary evidence – as seen in fossil comparisons; prehistoric mineral finds; the distance of stars in terms of light-years; DNA comparisons; and Darwin’s research on the adaptation of species. Here’s my take on Creationism:

Darwin is not the enemy; nor is Genesis. Blind Creationism is.

If read literally, the Bible would tell of an Earth aged at 7500 years (max). Homo sapiens are far more ancient than this!

Bone finds in Ethiopia show that Homo sapiens had lived in Ethiopia 160,000 years ago.

Even if a Creationist would mistrust carbon dating – how would he or she contend with the existence of dinosaur fossils?

The Bible itself hints at the existence of prehistoric life. Here’s the tip of the iceberg…

The leviathan, the ‘crooked serpent…the monster that is in the sea’, is mentioned in Isaiah 27:1. This is no sea snake, nor turtle! The animal would have been either a salt-water crocodile – or a plesiosaur!

At least 2 Creations exist in Genesis. It’s no Biblical typo error. This insight alone opens up countless possibilities regarding extinction etc.

So who "created" God? The retort "He has always been there" might be an interesting get -out clause, but it is not convincing.
There is an interesting website "Talk Origins" which takes all the creationist ideas. then shoots them down in flames basically.
For example, God created the stars and the earth 6000 years ago? Well we can see stars that are well over 10,000 light years away in other words, the light from them has taken over well 10,000 years to get to us, so by definition, they must be that age or older, and there are far, far older examples. many millions of light years away in fact.
Now I will watch a documentary on the BBC about the Galapagos Islands, where Darwin postulated his theory of evolution.

The best evidence for evolution is when you can see it happening in bacteria or fruit flies. The best evidence for creationism is... oh, wait there isn't any.

Can man make a machine that can read printed instructions, speak them back and then follow the instructions? Life is just too complex to have been put together by chance. There had to be an intelligent designer. Look at the biochemical pathways, the positive and negative feedback mechanisms, the mechanical advantage of the muscles and bones as they work together, the eye, the ear, the brain, the sense of smell. We cant even figure out how some of these things work. To attribute their occurence to chance is the easy way out.
