It is funded by the government robbing producers of their income so that it can be redistributed. if you don't think it is 'robbing' or 'extortion', try not paying. Men with guns will come after you.
Sadly, all the answers above direct you to politicians and government websites with the sole purpose of handing out this money. Or the classic, "oh, it comes from tax reevenue, and isn't the sky a pretty blue'. It's sad. in the first two decades of the 20th century, the taxable rate was 1%. Now it is around 30% and we can't vote for school levies and democrats fast enough. What is wrong with us??
Don't just do your homework and forget about it, think about why, in the supposed land of the free, home of the brave, we have such a huge welfare system. If men with guns come when you don't pay your protection money, you are not free. When you accept money that is not really yours, you are not brave.
(The telling thing will be the 'thumbs up', thumbs down', and 'best answer'. America, don't disappoint me!)

How does well being care no longer fall lower than "regular welfare?" Why is it so confusing that you'll be able to keep in mind that if the Founding Fathers did not favor the Congress to bypass regulations merchandising the "regular welfare" they would not have coated it in Article a million. in addition they idea it develop into major adequate to include in the Preamble, which laid out the genuine middle values promoted through the structure. Why do they continually cite that line? because you requested, and that is the answer. Why do not they maintain in mind that this isn't a eco-friendly elementary to bypass some thing they sense like? We do. The "regular welfare" has particular meanings to authorities entities and to electorate. regrettably, for your argument, well being care falls interior those particular meanings. Sorry if someone having the ability to quote the valid justifcation is inconvenient to you, yet in case you in elementary words favor to take heed to an answer that you want, do not ask an difficulty-free question. you could in simple terms watch Fox information fairly.

It is financed from general revenue to the government. I know of no specific tax. Social Security taxes are spent by the federal government, instead of being put aside for retirement.
