These word problems are all associated with division. Just divide the "big" number into the "little" number. These are quite simple. The easiest way to do these....is to use a calculator. Continue to get that education!!! Be blessed!

These are simple division problems. PLEASE, everybody... don't give the answers! One of the main benefits of going to school is the education, the learning one gets. If we hand out the answers to questions like these, we are contributing to a less educated future.
Now, if one has a suggestion for how to approach these problems, by all means, share it. Just, please, don't give the answers.
Thanks!
Edit.... so did you actually LEARN anything from the people that TOLD you the answers? Or did it just solve your immediate problem while leaving you ill-equipped to actually figure out these problems on your own? If you think you "get it" now, try this one out:
Jenny has 132 pens. She divides the pens equally among her 3 friends and herself. How many pens does each person have?
Edit again..... BTW, the young English lady that posed the question is either in or about to enter the 6th grade/6th year in British schooling. Should a 6th grader be able to handle these problems?

Ignore the first five replies you got here - though it seems like straightforward division at first it is not because although (for example) michelle drew 56 pictures in 8 days does not mean that she drew the same amount of pictures each day - she could've drawn 1 one day and 20 the next etc. so there is no way to actually calculate this properly as you do not have enough to go on.

if you divide the large number by the smaller number you should get the average
e.g. 56 divided by 8 = 7 so she did 7 drawings each day if you follow the same formula for the rest your homework should be much easier

They are all division sums.
The first one is 56 divided by 8.
That's all I'm going to tell you!
I work as classroom assistant and I don't take kindly to pupils who get other people to do their homework for them.
