Baseball is great because you can be any size. If you're short, but quick, you can play infield.

If you're tall but fast, you can play outfield.

If you're big with a wide range, you can play first.

It's more about your skills than your size.

The great thing about baseball is that it doesn't require you to be a particular size. You don't have to be tall (unlike basketball) and you don't have to be large (unlike football).

With your size you could play just about any position.
First basemen tend to be relatively tall ... 6 feet or more.
Catcher tend to be on the heavy side, but that's not required.
Outfielders are often larger than infielders, but your size would work either place.
And pitchers come in all sizes, but tall and lanky works well.

So yes, you are the right size.
You just need to find the position you like and practice, practice, practice.
And as the saying goes: If at first you don't succeed, try second base, or shortstop, or outfield, etc., etc.

Good luck!

I don't see your age posted anywhere. Anyone can play baseball but maybe you are asking if you are the right size to make it to the majors. If your grown up and haven't been playing baseball already it is way to late to be thinking about playing anywhere but the local leagues where you pay to play instead of playing to get paid.

Baseball is the one sport that it really does not matter what your size is. Your heart and desire will always get you as far as you want to go. Practice hard and play harder.

You seem to be on the light side. Worry more about your skill level then your size, but you should conisder adding more muscle mass.

You're ok. As you go, you'll probably get a trainer that'll want to put a little weight on you.
