OMG I thought the earthquake I experienced this morning was scary but the aftershock.I'm still shaking.This just happened 3 minutes ago.Thank God I am alive.I can't even think straight now.Any suggestions.

Let me guess....you're not from there...Look, as a person who grew up in the California Bay Area, let me let you in on a little secret...Earthquakes happen almost constantly. The ones you feel are just little jolts, and as long as they stay under say....6.5, chances are you'll be alright. You're more likely to die/be injured in pretty much any other natural disaster than you would an earthquake. My advice is to take a deep breath, drink a little water, and relax! :o)

aftershocks are really scary. Dont panic ok! after an earthquake, stay outside your and away from your building for at least 10 minutes. Its not always scary, only sometimes its big. And if you have had an eartquake that day, stay alert and again dont panic!

Where abouts are you? How big was the quake and the aftershocks? Just be careful and stay outside in the open until it all dies down. Might be a few hours.
