Definetely do something about it. Paying thousands of dollars in lawyer fees should allow you the best possible service. Contact the BAR association.

Check with the "board of professional responsibility" in your state, not the state bar. The board is a group of lawyers who rule over all lawyers in the state. You can file a complaint with them If they agree that the lawyer intentionally did something wrong, they will send it to the heads of the board, a group of 5 lawyers who can take action against the lawyer, including taking away their license.

Your mistake Caroline was assuming that lawyers have ethics.

However...in most states there is a judicial oversight board that investigates and deals with complaints. Check your local phone directory in the state services/department sections to find them.

I consider White domicile observing. ***** to the bar affiliation the lawyer would belong to. I stay in Seattle, so i'd ***** to the Washington State Bar affiliation. lawsuits influence the lawyer's score and attorneys are very careful about this. ability shoppers can seem up lawsuits and rankings and be certain now to not use this lawyer. in worry-free words the worst ambulance chaser doesn't care about lawsuits to the bar affiliation.
