Hypothetically, yes. However, in order to truly receive absolution, one must show true remorse for one's sin and make restitution - the priest doing the absolution is only part of the solution.

How many more negative hits does the Catholic Church in U>S> have left... How many millions of dollars have been used for non religious and church related goodness the last year... Something is wrong...

This is pretty darn funny! But it's really just more of the same thing that individuals in the Catholic church have perpetrated for eons . . . since the inception of the chuch, I believe!!! :-)
