Implantation bleeding is rare--happening in only 10% of women. But when it does happen it happens between 6 and 12 days after ovulation with 10 being most common. Also, it is too soon for the embryo to have implanted and started secreeting high amount of hcg and hcg is what causes pregnancy symptoms so your symptoms must be from something else. Good luck with this cycle!

I experienced what I think(thought) was implantation bleeding. My LMP was 8/25, I believe I ovulated 9/7 and I spotted a brownish mucous from 9/16 - 9/19, very little not enough to need a liner. I am now 7 days late for my next period. I took a First Response early result hpt yesturday and it was negative. My doc had me come in for a blood test and am now nervously awaiting the results. I am definitely gassy (coming from mouth instead of other end lol), frequent heartburn and occassional hot flashes but that's it. Implantation bleeding is rare occuring in only 1 in 3 women. It occurs 6 - 12 dpo (the average being 8 - 10) and the spotting can last from 1 - 6 days. I would wait until after you've missed your period before testing. Good Luck, hope you get the answer you seek. Baby Dust to All TTCers.

Implantation occurs between 5-8 days after ovulation, if your egg and his sperm met you are pregnant but your body does not know yet because baby has not implanted yet. Once baby implants some women experience mild spotting for a day or two some don't bleed at all like me, I had cramping and menstrual period pains. When baby implants your body starts producing hcg which is the hormone that pregnancy tests detect, and this hormone is usually detected from 8-10 days after implantation. If you indeed got pregnant you might be experiencing implantation discomforts but you have to wait at least another week before you test.

I've had four pregnancies and every one is different. With two I had implantation spotting, with the other two I didn't. Unfortunately, you'll just have to wait until you can take a pg test. There are some really good ones out now that can tell you before you even miss your period. Good luck, I know its hard waiting!

i never had any implantation bleeding with either pregnancy. with my first i got cramping, but thought it was because my period was due. with my second (i'm 15 weeks) i had no cramping.
you can take a home test as early as 5 days prior to your period with some of the home tests. but if you get a negative, definatley retest in a few days. you may not have enough of the hormone in your unrine yet to get a positive reading. good luck!
