Asia is definatly posing a big challange for being superpowers. Both India, and China. Japan can be a superpower too(and it is in its own right) but it has the burden of not having the land mass that the US has, and that China and India have. the Chinese and Indian economies are in the top 10 in the world(actually top 5 I think). The US is having a lot of issues right now with immigration(illegal), and the government and a lot of people loseing support to it. China and India do have their problems too but I believe they are the future superpowers. Hopefully there won't be any wars over this.

Yep the U.S. is the only superpower in the World. Because of the massive arms build up in the cold war, the U.S. basically scared the Russians, making the U.S. the only superpower. The United States military spending is HUGE! We spend over half a trillion dollars a year on our military and it rises even higher every year.

The United States has become a huge supporter of India internationally and politically. India is the country with the highest approval rating of President Bush (even high then U.S. citizens) -- because of the United States' generous and helpful reconstruction of the Tsunami a year or two ago. Which means the U.S. is making a huge ally in Asia along with Japan to make a counter-weight against China. Which in the long-run will help the U.S. Also the U.S. spends 6 times as much money on its military then China does. Its only oblivious the U.S. will never be replaced.
