i am from hull and so i have no options but to use karoo to get online because they own the monopoly, but anyway heres the problem my pc completely crashed so all i was left with was the black and white bios screen giving me options like start in safe mode start with safe mode plus command prompt and so on and so on..... now none of these ever got my pc on so i rang pc world up and they talked me through a disc recovery procedure and it worked but after a short while of putting the connection disc on and being able to get onto the internet it started behaving weird such as crashing and freezing, so i took my E 220 pc into pc world and had it completely cleaned out and had extra memory in it and when i took it home it worked perfectly for about half an hour and has started crashing again but it seems to be whenever i go on the internet?? i cant use the turn off choices because they change to switch user or log off instead of turn off and restart and whatever the 3rd one is help?????????

Get an antivirus program on disc if possible, some viruses linger even after the computer is cleared. If you can't get on disc, you will have to try and get it off the Internet...It could be your computer has something wrong with the hardware. If so, I'm not sure how you would fix that. If your computer is really old, you probably just need a new one.

From Hull as well so ignore anything about ISP's. Go around to a mates and get the latest version of AVG anti-virus from the web.
www.majorgeeks.com its 24mb so you will need to take a flash drive or burn it to disk. (Its free as well). Run a scan across your harddrive it does sound like a virus.
Also check that you have a filter on all telephone points with phone. Karoo give you 2.
