As long as people do not want to know the Truth, and want to believe that they are right in every situation, people will continue to be brainwashed by these people.
Republicans will avoid any truth that they can't spin.
Sorry, Jesi dear...All mainstream media, even CNN (which you guys like to call, what, Clinton news network?) as well as 97% of all media in this entire country is owned by 5 conglomerates. All 5 CEO's of the conglomerates are active members of the Republican National Convention, and among the largest contributors to the Republican Party and all Republican Candidates. What liberal media are you talking about? There isn't a mainstream "liberal media"...some, like CNN, who has a reputation for good, honest reporting, continue to be journalists, and so sometimes have to do minor little stories about republican wrongdoings, but the rest of the time, they are bashing Dems in every conceivable way. Your O'Reilleys and Limbaughs and Hannitys are all losing money. Every single year. Rupert Murdoch (who owns these three guys' shows) and the Republican Party give the shows millions of dollars to stay afloat. Fox new has lost millions every single year, yet Murdoch keeps funnelling massive amounts of money to them from the more popular money makers like sitcoms and whatnot. Everything that you see on TV is dictated by the Republican Party. Everything. Like Bush said "you have to say things over and over for the propaganda to sink in" He was talking about the privatization of Social Security, but it speaks to what they do.
You must realize that you are being brainwashed.
Open your eyes. Use your mind. I know you aren't dumb. Turn off the TV. Trust me...life is much better without it. Look around! Pay attention. Ask questions about what's really going on in the world. You cannot assume that everything that is going on is simple and clearcut. After all, are you? You are more complex that that! Don't you think everyone else is as complex as you? Do you really think that people that work so hard to get into politics are not complex people? What about people in other countries? Are they not complex? Do they not have complex lives that govern their actions? Responsibilities, hardships, fun, family, life...
Life is fascinating. Pay attention. There is much to learn, young padawan :P You CAN see what's going on...what the truth is...by setting aside the judgements other people give you, and make your own. With all of the evidence available.

Given your post I will assume you would like people to believe there is no such thing as a liberal. I suppose your one of these people who can't handle the term so you choose progressive to make it somewhat more palatable for yourself. Wake up partner. There are liberals in the world just like there are conservatives and the two sides do not agree. Both sides are pretty equal at trying to spin the truth their way. Perhaps you have never heard of Al Franken or Alan Combes. Frankly your indictment is weak, and I will tell you the same thing I tell conservatives. Mentioning Rush Limbaugh on this site almost immediately invalidates any argument you might have had otherwise.

The brainwashing will wear off when they're good and ready for it to wear off, thank you very much! They haven't perfected the new program yet, when that happens people will have lost even the knowledge that such words or concepts as "liberals", "America", and "freedom" exist. They will become automatons working 14hr shifts chained to their SUVs with a plasma TV in every Hummer watching American Idol as their only entertainment. The only channel on TV will be FOX, it will be displayed constantly on special eyeglasses that people who be forced to wear. RFID chips will be implanted, along with biometric chips to detect the presence or potential activity of "terrorists", which of course will be anyone (like you or me) who ever goes out of step even once from the official programming policies of the Theocratic Government of the New Christian Dystopian Republic (once known as the USA). Police cars will fail to become necessary, there will simply be satellites and stealth bombers constantly patrolling the skies ready to "liberate" any "terrorist" (aka, citizen) with a quick and painless (for them!) laser shot to the heart and cranium. Instant vaporization. So just go back to holding your Bibles, searching for Revelation scripture to prove that the Rapture is upon us, and before you know it, it will be and your wishes will all be fulfilled! Amen!

It is easier to believe their crap because it is a matter of "faith" which needs no proof. There is no teaching of the scientific method. There is bread, drugs and soft porn for the masses. The world is full of "spin". Frankly, I am very pessimistic. My choice is to try to check on the lies, believe in healthy skepticism and never listen to the crap that issues from their rectal orifice located on their faces.

I understand what you mean. Some people feel that if they heard it on Rush or Hannity it must be true. They forget that they are opinionated broadcasters and not journalist.
