Report the incident to ebay. Until you have received payment for the item do not ship it, if they want the item bad enough they will adhere to this policy. Ask ebay to be a mediator to resolve this issue.

Tell them that per ebay policies, you will not ship the item until a verifyable form of payment is received. If they don't pay, report them to ebay.

allow a certain amount of time for pmt, then put the item back on the market. Be sure to save all e-mails between the two of you and report to E-Bay. They are really good about helping with that.

That is a total scam. Be careful of Nigerian deals! I know. I was once selling an old laptop (sold for $600) and some Nigerian offered my $2000 for it, but I had to ship it first! Yeah, right... like I was going to fall for that one!

DON'T send it!! Don't cave for requests about money orders or checks or checking accts, etc. Just consider the sale lost and accept bad feedback if you have to.
