system disk tells me that one of the files isnt in its original place and saft mode just wont boot

do u have the windows disc.....if so..insert it...do a repair..right click C drive go to properties...tools..error checking..then fix all..it might take awhile....and it will not start until u reboot...do not stop it once u reboot...maybe this will replace the file where it is supposed to be

Andrew is correct. Insert the Windows Installation CD and boot from the CD. If the system isn't configured to boot from the CD, you'll need to enter the system BIOS and adjust the 'Boot Sequence' to boot from CD. Be VERY careful in the BIOS however.

If the System Disks or Restore dod not work, a really big magnet will erase your hard drive. It is not the preferred method, but it works.

Just put the Windows XP setup CD into your CD drive then choose delete partition then create partition.

Put in the Windows CD and boot off of the CD.

Why not start computer, at bottom of blue page click F9 or whatever that says System Restore, and restore your system with discs?
