I know you can not save formula after they have had some from the bottle, but can you save the infant rice cereal after?

Thank you for all the responses! I didn't think we could, but I'd rather be safe then sorry! :)

I called Gerber and they told me cereal is only good for 1 hour after it's made.

You can save formula if you wash the nipple of the bottle thoroughly and put it in the fridge immediately.

You shouldn't re-feed a baby cereal (or jarred food, for that matter) once they've eaten from it. The bacteria in their mouths get on the spoon, and every time you dip the spoon into the bowl of cereal or jar of food, you're introducing bacteria into the food. Cereal is cheap...just throw it away. :) Eventually you'll know how much your baby can eat in one sitting and you can make the cereal up without mixing too large an amount for her to finish.

I would just mix a little and if they eat it all then I would make a little more but not I would not save it. Babies dont have immunities like us. And rice cereal is a lot cheaper then a trip to the dr or hospital

No. The babies saliva mixes with the cereal every time you put the spoon back in the bowl. This creates bacteria.

No... I always throw out whatever is left over. Try to make as much as you think your baby will eat. If he wants more just mix it up again.

Nope, if you mixed formula or juice with it you can't save it.

No, you should just get rid of it once the feeding is done.
