I have a 8 foot Palm tree that branches out in 4 directions, and have no room for a Christmas tree, I do not want to harm it, as it is in excellent shape, but also need a Christmas tree.

Nope, won't hurt it as long as the lights are small and are not directly touching the plant leaves. Be careful of the location of your plugs, connectors. Would not want to read about an eletrocution from watering your palm tree!

Ficus Tree With Lights

I once put balls on my palm tree and it looked nice. How about putting the lights around the inside of the window or on the ceiling instead of on the tree? Remember that Jesus is the main focus, not a tree :) He said to have a "last supper" together in remembrance of Him; maybe it is not even necessarily to remember His birth. Birthdays are overrated, in my humble opinion. We should die to self. Praise G-d.

Go for it, it wont hurt your Palm at all as long as they are low voltage and donot heat up too much. I Work at a Garden Cente and at Christmas we quite often use our plants to decorate the shop with lights. Just watch where you put the cords for safety sake, we dont want you to turn into a Christmas light yourself when youre watering :-)

I've made several indoor plants into my Christmas trees. Last Christmas I put lights on my ficus and left them on all the time till they finally burned out...so sad. I really enjoyed having them on.

No problem. I put them on my Ficus trees all the time. I use all white. Really perks up the room.

as long as they are true indoor lights and do not get too hot....at my parents house my mom has lights on one of her indoor trees all year round... little clear ones.. they look neat at night.
