all six confederations namely, AFC (Asia), UEFA (Europe), CAF (Africa), CONCACAF (North & Central America & The Carribbean), CONMEBOL (South America) & OFC (Oceania) will be allocated their berth for the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

at present, the host nation, SOUTH AFRICA has qualified automatically to the finals while the other 31 teams will be known when the qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup gets underway as early as September 2007 when teams from South America began their qualification.

the draw for the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers will takes place in December 2007 & qualification for other confederations usually began in two months time after the draw. the qualification process will be completed in November 2009 when all 31 teams qualified for the finals are all known.

the defending champions, ITALY must play in the qualifiers in order to qualify for the finals as FIFA no longer allow the defending champions to qualify automatically.

In the qualification process for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, teams from the six FIFA confederations will be allocated a share of the spots available on the basis of the strength of the confederation.
The final round will consist of inter-confederation matchups for

I only hope france will not qualify because thier behaviour is not good and dont deserve to play ffotball together with the other deserving nations

touzours... u r completely rong... all the french players wen they lose the possession they will headbutt... n finally after the first match... there wont be players to play the second match... n they will lose the first match as well... they have to bring players frm france to SA thn... they will lose tht n the next match the first batch will play... n they will lose tht one too... so france will be out of the tournament from now on....
I really want brazil to win... but i don wan thm to face italy.... coz both r ma faves teams...
