I dreamed that my younger sister died. I've heard before that when you dream about someone dying it means that someone is going to get married soon, is this true?

No, not true. Dreaming of someone's death especially close one is a sign of warning and/or reminder from your subconscious mind.
Death = departure
That mind of yours may want to tell you that you should have better and more communication with her. That is about it. Basically death means departure. You dream about that because you subconsciously tell yourself you don't have to leave that person

I think it means you fear losing her, and your subconscious doesn't know the difference between fears and reality and is trying to prepare you for the possibility of losing her. I think dreams are mostly storage and organization of new memories within the weird irrational realm of subconscious thought. I'm guessing you had some stress in your life, and your sister is quite close to you.

In some cases. Could've been just a nightmare, though. I dreamt my older brother died, and woke up the next day with nothing but gratefulness that he was still alive.

It means you had a dream about your sister dying.
Most likely some anxiety or strong feeling goin' on between you two.

That fact that you heard marriage has to do with death is sad enough...tehe!! I always thought it meant someone is going to get sick or worse that is close to you. But that's just me. Don't quote me on it.

I've heard of that, but I've also heard that it could mean a birth. You should ask someone in your family if they are pregnant.

that is weird about ten years ago i had a horrific dream my mother was dying of cancer (bald and all) she moved away and a year later married a wonderful man , coincedence???
