I was getting really bad migraines that would start at the back of my head and well...ruin me. They kept getting worse and my body would ache and I felt like crap. My doctor gave me lortabs and although I have nooo problem getting some pain pills...I knew that wasn't going to fix my problem. So, I was referred to a neurologist. He couldn't find anything wrong with my brain, just said that I got migraines due to a genetic factor. I take Topamax now, which I love and hardly ever get migraines anymore (also have lost some weight...doesn't hurt!). Also, I found an awesome chiropractor that also does sports medicine. He let me know that yes, my spine was out of alignment, no I don't need to be popped, but adjusted. Main problem-my little muscles in my back and neck weren't strong enough to hold my spine strait...resulting in bad posture. So, now I exercise and do back and neck exercises which gives me better posture and actually affects my entire body and my head! It's crazy the way that a little bone in your neck or back can cause everything to hurt when not treated. Now, I go about once a month to see the chiropractor b/c my body is finally holding itself together. I feel great. Painkillers will just get you addicted in the long run though...although nice for a while...and good to keep around when you do get a bad headache. Also, the next day after taking a pain killer I would ache too. I don't know if that helps. I'm guessing you're talking about what I went through though.

Book yourself into an Osteopath. It sounds as if you have a small bone in your neck slightly out of alignment. If this is so it will be a simple matter of manipulation to put it right. Any bone out of alignment has a knock on effect. It will be worth the cost and it is not good to take too many pain killers.

Not sure about the headaches, but for the joints in your body take Glucosamine Chondroitin with MSM. You can find this in any the vitamin section of any Wal Mart, Kmart or Drug store. Take it for a couple of weeks and it will lubricate your joints and keep them from hurting. Works great

Headaches could be due to various reasons. Joint pain may be caused by overexertion, injuries, arthritis, muscle pain, bursitis and other diseases. Some types of joint pains can be completely cured but for other types of joint pain (like pain caused by osteoarthritis), treatment will only reduce the pain. You may need more water. NOT sodas, coffee, tea, or alcoholic beverages, which dehydrate you more Drink 1/2 to 1 gallon of water per day divided into 8-12 ounces at a time throughout the day.

I would strongly suggest consulting a massage therapist possibly in conjunction with a chiropractor that practices the Gonstead Technique. The massage therapist will know immediately if your problem is outside of their scope of practice and if so, will be able to refer you to a better physician.

Pain killers, as you know are only relieving the symptom and not solving the problem. Good luck.

If you do not have stomach problems. Try pain killers called NSAIDs.The local chemist will help you. If they do not help within a day or two (you must take them regularly) or your symptoms get worse, go back to your doctor.

You mayhave M.E or Fybromyalgia - ask your GP to refer you to hospital to carry out the tests to confirm this (although I hope it isn't because either of those can be very nasty). In the meantime, for pain relief - talk to your GP very nicely and say to him/her - DF118 - these are Dihydrocodeine (30Mg) and Paracetamol (500Mg). These are the strongest analgesics below morphine - believe me they do work.

Ask your dr for a blood test for polymyalgia. You may need steriods to take away the pain.
