don't try to sound smart-be smart. this means not trying to sound like you are smarter and better than everyone OR trying to keep up with people you believe are smarter than you. be confident in who you are and how you speak. very little of a person's impression of you is formed by what you say, it is mostly how you say it - attitude is everything!
