Wow, you're giving me a blast from the past! My mom used to collect Hummels. Where are you getting that price? If I remember correctly the prices varied quite a bit depending on how few there are. Man, she had some that blew me away with the value.

Hummels, and for that matter, any piece made by the Goebel company, vary in market price in consideration of how many of a particular model were made. The fewer made, the more value they have. The ones that were made in large quantities (usually the ones you can find easily) have a lower value.

I wonder the same thing
My mom handed down to me sooo many Hummels and they aren't really worth anything. My advice if you are thinking of selling it. Sell it on ebay because, a place like an antique store is going to low ball you

it is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. that is capitalism at the most basic level. personally, i wouldn't give you more than 50 cents for it. just my opinion, no disrespect intended.
