I'm sure it's both. Ever walk into the kitchen and ask, "What smells so good?" because something was cooking on the stove. The same applies to a taco fart reheated in the steam. And, yes, a confined space will concentrate the odor. A second question could be, why do your own farts smell good? Hmmmm. Another good one!

its not a chemical reaction it is just warm and humid in the shower. This will cause the "fart" to have more kinetic energy and will diffuse quicker and with it being in a confined space it will just seem to smell worse.

Gosh is this a very intelligent question, or what?!!! hahaha!... well try warming up poop, don't vent the room where you're doing it , do it in a small room, where the air dispersion is limited, and you'll get similar results, I bet!
When you fart in a huge area, it disperses - or spreads out with the air, so we can say that the smell is watered down by a lot, or... aired out, to be correct. In the shower... all the moisture gets rid of dust even, the air is humid, so you have a limited amount of breathable air, and that's being polluted, so you're smelling a high concentration of poop fumes... totally lethal... hahahha!

I think it's because it's the morning, plus confined in the small space.

Ive wondered this myself. I beleive that the heat from the shower causes the methane in your flatulence to EXPAND while you are confined to a small area....

I think it's a reaction with the water. It's true in the bathtub as well.
