Spuds. I remain firmly in the camp of potatoes. There's just so many ways to fix that are yummy. Don't get me wrong, I like rice too but spuds win hands down imho.

It kind of depends what we're having. I like rice with fish but I like potatoes with steak. I can go either way with chicken.

Depends if its mashed potatoes then definately potatoes, but if its not then rice because it goes better with most meals.
