What if I only sell 1-2 things a year, and I'm not a "store" or business?

In California, you only have to report income over $600. So, as long as you dont make more than $600, youre in the clear....

Of course, if you are selling a car.....

I hardly call selling one, or two items a business. No you don't have to charge sales tax, if this is all you do.

No, you only need to collect state sales tax if you are a business.

no -- your state has a minimum amount that you have to pay tax on -- if you are making less than that (here it is $600) then no worries.

Technically, you do, but in reality, it's more trouble that it's worth on a small scale.
