Did you know that Mutations are birth defects and other abnormatliteis such as cancer. Also that mutations result in a loss of DNA information not a gain, based upon scientific fact? Usually they result in death. If so, then why do you blindly put your faith in 19th century, backwards, "science"- aka the Theory of Evolution?

Is it posibly because you would rather believe in anything short of insanity and beyond then in God and I.D.?

Some scientist you people turned out to be, claiming Evolution as fact. That is a bold statement, since it heavily relies on faith and guestamations.

This is just one example of the many conflicts that facts have with Theory.

Facts don't go away.

But you can ignore them if you want. Keep on living in the truth as you see it, rather than scientific facts as they are.

Just do not call yourself a scientist, or your religion, a Science.

You are correct that most mutations are harmful. However, millions of them occur, and far more occurred in past geologic periods when the ozone layer was not in place and the earth was bombarded by many times the UV radiation it receives today. So, even a small percentage of mutations being beneficial is more than enough to radically change organisms over billions of years.

You are utterly incorrect that scientists have any problem believing in God and Intelligent Design. In the large research facility where I work there are many scientists who are also believers, as am I. My faith life and my involvement in my Church are essential elements of who I am. Nothing I see in the Bible suggests to me that animal species don't evolve over time. The Bible says that (1) God was directly responsible for the initial Creation of the universe; and (2) God is also responsible for the existence of all things which developed after the initial Creation, like solar systems, mountain ranges, oceans, and living things. I believe this, absolutely. I also accept the clear scientific evidence which indicates the marvelous, intricate system which God designed and set into motion to provide for the development of living things. There is NO conflict between the truth of science and the truth of revelation. None. Truth cannot conflict with truth.

where did you get this scientific fact that 'mutations result in a loss of DNA information not a gain'. Genetic mutations always happen. sometimes they are for good and sometimes they are bad, and other times nothing happens at all. When a bad mutation happens then that particular organism will die off, this is because they are not fit to survive, it is survival of the fittest. if the genetic mutation is a positive one then it will stay with the species and enable them to survive better. You are very opinionated in believing that all people only believe in evolution, anyone who has a truly scientific approach to it will understand that it is just a theory. And a theory is just that a theory, it has not been proven but is the best we have. and by the way guestamations is not a real word.

You don't understand evolution. Do research... i don't mean read a paragraph that explains it in a nutshell... look at the evidence and read reports before you tear it down. GENETIC mutations... Evolution doesn't mean a flipper baby is born and we evolve from that... These mutations are genetic shifts, tiny tiny changes, over time express themselves in the population.. if these gene expressions are favorable to survival or sexual selection they are passed on to a greater proportion of the population until they become standard.

You've been watching too many movies and not studying evolution enough to have any authority on the subject. You are propagating an agenda and i find that despicable.

No you have just regurgitated a bunch of lies and deliberate misinformation about something you obiviously have no idea about. Most mutations are harmful - so what?, some aren't, and the organisms with the harmful ones dies off. Some mutations result in an increase in DNA information (see link).

You are a bigot, not a Christian.

And you have just lied for God (you might want to check Zechariah 13:3)

Sure there were millions of random mutations. But, the mutations were sorted out in each generation through Selection -- and the individuals with deleterious mutations tended to have fewer children, grandchildren, etc.
Mutations do not result in a loss of DNA information, just a change. There are also chromosomal events which can cause duplication of genes.
And again, we have Selection sorting things out.

Imagine flipping a coin 20 times in a row.
Now do it again.
Every time you throw 20 heads in a row, record it on a piece of paper.
Every time you don't throw 20 heads in a row, don't record it.
Now, after you've flipped your coin several billion times, look at your piece of paper -- and notice that it recorded only your successes! Wow, you must be great at flipping that coin!

I'd believe in Intelligent Design if I appeared to be intelligently designed. I woke up this morning, and I put on my glasses. Let me repeat for emphasis: I PUT ON MY GLASSES. An intelligent design for my eyes would have given me muscles which would let me focus them without glasses.

When I was 25, I had two wisdom teeth removed. An intelligent design for my jaw would either have no wisdom teeth coming in, or would have provided adequate space for them.

A friend of mine had her appendix removed. An intelligent design of a human being would not have an appendix at all.

for example, if you had to ppl with a specific mutation and breeded them, then kept them separate from the rest of the population for a few hundred generations they would evolve down a different path than the rest of us. vaccine resistant bacteria is proof of evolution and adaptation. certain diseases were almost wiped out until one had a mutation that made it immune to vaccine. the not immune bacteria were irradicated and the immune bacteria thrived and spread to become a new variant. does this a million times with a million different useful mutations and you will have evolved into a much more complex and much more useful organism not even resembling what it started out as.

Good lord!!! Who ever said we don't have faith? Everybody needs faith in something! I just don't have faith in God, because I don't believe he exists!! Science is not a religion! Science does not tell people HOW to live, it tells people where we might have COME from! How can you call us blind, when we can SEE evolution?! Can you SEE God? Has God ever literally spoken to you? If he has, you may need to seek therapy. We see PATTERNS in life, and we make calculations based on these patterns! The idea of God is absurd! It's faith in nothing! God came into existence AFTER we came into existence. There were NO Gods worshiped before philosophers started thinking about life. The "One True God" came into existence about the same time all the other gods came into existence! They thought Mars, Venus, Mercury, the Sun, and Moon were representations of gods!! The Jewish God lasted the longest because the teachings of Jesus touched people of all classes. It was a weak religion in the beginning, but the Renaissance provided the tools to defend their religion and make that religion strong. And it stuck for centuries. Christianity has been forced into cultures, from the people who take over the lands!! The Spanish forced Christianity onto the Philippines, the Quakers forced Christianity onto the Natives, etc. etc. Volcano gods were used to explain why mountains erupted. We now know why mountains erupt. It has nothing to do with a "volcano god". The "One True God" is used to explain the origins of life. Used to explain what happens after death. Gods are nothing more than tools to explain things we don't understand. Science is nothing more than a tool used to EXPLORE things we don't understand. There is faith in science. But there is nothing blind about that faith; unlike in the theist's faith.

Your right most mutations are bad BUT there are also good mutations if you look at bacteria and vaccination you will see how mutation CAN help a species survive. But a good example of a good mutation would be a child genius they are NOT normal and have a mutation that makes them extremely smart. Does that make sense?

Genetic mutations often result in a harmful trait which may lead to death or may lead to fewer offspring. However, occasionally a mutation leads to a beneficial trait which favors the animal in its struggle to survive. Since genetic traits breed true, this new "advantage" is passed along to subsequent generations. This is how new species are born. It's so simple. You should be able to grasp this concept if your halfway intelligent.

how about the only the fittest survive? you only see mutations that worked over the centuries, maybe all the other ones died off?

also, science doesn't equal evolution.
