if the gun is pointed straight out, (not up), they will hit the ground at the same time...because gravity is still effecting them equally..and they are the same starting height, and no force is being applied upwards against gravity ("to slow it down"). ohh,..That is unless your firing into a hill.

Your question is not clear buddy.
If the bullet was shot to grount, then it stands first to hit the ground. And if it was shot into the sky, then the dropped one will touch the ground first.

If the gun was aimed perfectly level, the dropped bullet would hit the ground first due to the curvature of the Earth.

They'd hit the ground at the same time, assuming a flat Earth.

listen bro... thats a real cool ans...
IF U ASSUME THAT THE BULLET HAS BEEN SHOT PARRLLEL TO THE GROUND, THEY BOTH FALL AT THE SAME TIME, as gravity acts equally on both... hence equal work is done on them by gravity. NOTE...MY ANSWER WILL COME OUT TO B TRUE ONLY WHEN U ASSUME EARTH TO BE FLAT AND STRETCHING OUT TO INFINTY...
NOW THATS SLIMY...
