I'm straight and think homophobia is inexcusable. Even if your religious beliefs state homosexuality to be unnatural and a sin, doesn't mean you need to feel a hatred for a person.

A person who is gay is still a person. Regardless of your beliefs, political, personal, religious, whatever, you should still treat them with the same basic respect that you would a new acquaintance.

And hey, if I hear one more straight guy say something like 'i don't want him coming near me', get over yourself. THere's enough gay men out there that a gay guy doesn't need to be barking up your tree.

And also, gay does not equal pedophile. There are straight pedophiles out there so don't use that to hate gay people.

After all, wouldn't it suck if God was judging you for everlasting life and he said "you, no, you don't go because you judged someone without knowing him" then turned to the gay guy who tried to serve God and said "you're in... you'll be straight now but you're in". Who would feel like the outcast then?

I think homophobia is a good thing; I'm homophobic and more than happy to be this way.

And I'm a fully paid up member of straight pride.

If that is being gaaay I'm happy to accept the accolade LOL

Well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, I don't consider myself to be a homophobe, it doesn't bother me at all. And, I feel if others don't like that, then they can simply turn the other way. Anyways, why would homosexuality bother people, are they not secure with their sexuality??

Homophobia, like ANY phobia is a fear of the unknown.
The best way to deal with any fear is to face it head on and learn as much as you can on the subject.
