Olive Garden... I LOVE Italian food!

A small place in a suburb of Pittsburgh, called, I think, Greek Kitchen. It was in a strip mall, and externally, was so plain, we were not even sure if it was a restaurant or kitchen supply place. The food was out of this world delicious, make all the moreso due to the fact that we had no expectations of the place at all. My mouth still waters when I think about it.

We didn't know what to order, and the waitress offered to just give us a sample of everything. There was nothing on that plate that wasn't absolutely wonderful. I wanna go back! But it is three thousand miles away from me.

This really incredible restaurant here in Naples. Right after we arrived in Italy, my husbands Commander's wife took me there and it was just to die for! The food was so good, the best seafood I've ever had, and just the really wonderful Italian atmosphere and people make it a great place to go.

Smith & Wollensky's in NYC. The food being EXCELLENT and we were all ordering at will -- not too worried about how much this would cost, how many sides we were getting.

Better though, it was a great group of people. Only 4 of us. I was the only one who knew everyone at the table and yet we still all had a wonderful time.

To top it all off, one of them, my cheap ex, paid for the whole thing! That was pretty much the icing on the cake.

(Think it was the only time he paid for something for me without any questions or guilt.)

The Steakhouse... in the Luxor Hotel in Vegas. It used to be the Isis Restaurant. Fabulous service, amazing food. Pricey, but if you love food, cost is no issue.

Mariner's Wharf in Hout Bay, Cape Town ... snoek and chips.

Beautiful setting, but there's something about the way they cook the fish that gives the batter an almost caramel-like flavour, add the salt and vinegar and the coating is to die for; snoek's a delicious fish anyway and it was probably caught only a few hours ago ... take me back there any time, please, somebody.

We tried this new Cuban Restaurant called Candela's. It was so good. We got excellent service, they were reasonably priced, and very good food. We've been back there already.
