Some is, some isn't. Some grafitti artists have done spectacular wall murals. Others have just littered the landscape with obsenities, or shown their juvenile mind set by writing their names on everything they can reach.

The answer to that question would be yes. Yes grafiti is art, I can't say that it is a particularly kind art seeing as it is also vandalism. Anything and everything is art it is just a matter of how you look at it. Art is a workers masterpiece. A contractors building is his art, a painters painting is his art, a sports players skills in his game is his art, and a taggers grafiti is their art.

It's just as much art as any abstract circle and triangle is to the art world. I like stopping at a train crossing and enjoying a free art show. The people who do it spend a lot of time on their pieces and risk going to jail for the sake of my pleasure. I can truely appreciate graffiti. The art world is full of a bunch of stuck up pretentious snobs. It is good to see the ordinary person produce extra ordinary things.

I don't believe all graffiti is art......but a goodly number of them, certainly are!!

They should be taking up "pen and ink" or a "paint brush" and giving the world some of their special talents!!

"Art, washes away from the soul, the dust of everyday life".
Wish I had said that, but alas, 'tis not mine!!

Don't, hide your light under a bushel basket, it may not be there forever!

I would say yes.
It takes a lot of talent to make some of those designs and I always wonder why the kids that spray them do not direct their gifts to more worthwhile causes.

No, it's vandalism. Unless you don't mind me -without asking you- painting all over your car, your house, your clothes, your room and your hair-- would that be "art"?
