I suppose if I had to choose a Beatles song to describe the kind of day I am having today, it would be “I Want to Hold Your Hand”. Why is this song so apropos? Well, I am taking a girl to lunch from work, who I think is just tremendously beautiful and charming, but we are just friends. I know she has no interest in me other than a platonic one, but I find myself strongly attracted to her. I think the song’s chorus “I Want To Hold Your Hand”, in all its simplicity, sums up my desire to be a bit more affectionate to someone who I have a strong affinity for.
