Defining which browser is best is a very subjective task. While Firefox is a very good browser, many users find that it is too cumbersome for the way they want to use the internet. The answer is that the best browser is the one that meets your needs at the time. Its like buying a vehicle, my truck is a very usefull item when I need to haul a load, but my car is much better for trip to the convience store to get a loaf of bread. I use both vehicles and I use multiple browsers. You use the tool that best gets the job at hand done!

My favorite web browser is Konqueror:

Apple's Safari web browser is based on the rendering engine that was created by Konqueror developers. Great stuff.

Konqueror is standards compliant, VERY fast, easy to use, and has the ability to use netscape/mozilla plugins. It is mostly available for POSIX systems, which means that it's probably not available for Windows, but you can download and try it for free with any linux system.

Probably the best known browser is Microsofts "Internet Explorer Browser". My preference is another well known browser, "Foxfire" by Mozilla.

To get this free browser, go to: http://www.mozilla.com/

You havnt specified which OS you are using..

For windows Firefox is better than Internet Explorer.. Its got a download manager and blocks a lot of pop-ups and you can have many add-ons, adblocks a lot of things... Its safe and you can modify and set it to work according to your needs.. I use it and can blindly suggest it to you.. its the BEST.

For Machintosh, (which isnt very common and I dont suppose you use one) I use Camino.. Its designed to work specially for mac versions and intergrates itself using the other applications like addressbook, ical, iphotos, etc etc... it designed to work in mac environments and uses Apple tool kit to work.. so is the BEST.

I don't want to be sarcastic and point finger. No matter which browser you use make sure you have all the latest patches.

By the way i use IE and Fire fox. I don't call it best but it works for me.
