A tree officer looks after all the trees on council land.
My boyfriend is one and he gets nothing but abuse, he's wondering why.

It is a classic "Don't get me wrong, I love trees more then most" every person says that "But not the one out side my house" Well the who's house. A root system is 3 times the height? Rubbish! Subsidence is only caused on clay soils due to there shrinking and expansion capacity when wet. Blaming a tree for burglary's Listen to how stupid you sound, That is a problem with society not the trees fault. "Jobs Worth" I bet you used phrases Like "It is not fair" and what do I pay my council taxes for". That tree will still be there long after you are gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because, when you have a house, outside which some fool has planted a tree, the roots being three times it height, so they will eventually cause subsidence. Not only that it shuts out all the street lighting from the pathways and front of the house leaving us vulnerable to falls and burglary's, and they want to hug the darned thing,instead of seeing the sense of having it cut down. Yes one can come to the conclusion that they are a bit jobsworth about things. Don't get me wrong, I love trees more then most, and am quite happy to plant at least 1O to replace this one. But hey!

Tree Officers are FAB!!! Council dwellers dont like em cos they wont cut trees down "because they drop leaves all over my gnome filled garden" Hail Tree Officers!

Of course he get nothing but abuse! That's not even a real job man! Think about it for a second... What does he really do? Does he like go to trees and arrest them for excess foliage? good God girl tell him to get a real job ok?
