In Wisconsin this morning there have already been three really strange news items. There was a school shooting at Weston High School in Cazenovia where a former student came back to shoot the principal. There was a car chase at the same time in the same town where a student from the same school thought the cops were after him so he took off in his car and crashed it and got killed. No apparent connection between the two stories. Then there was a county worker that fell down an elevator shaft in of all places- the Milwaukee County Safety Building!!! What on earth is going on out there?!?!?!?!?!

Then there's the parents of a kid that was arrested for planning a Columbine type attack on his school in Green Bay who are in complete denial. They found home made bombs in their house built by their son and the mom was on the radio today saying he's such a good boy- he couldn't possibly have thought to do this.... DUH!!!! There was Napalm found in your house dingbat!!! That's what the police said anyway.

The whole world is going to ****! I live in Western NC, and that is where one of the FBI's Most Wanted, John "Woody" Woodring is from. He is on the run after shooting and killing his wife at a domestic abuse shelter, some fifty miles from where I live. There is a nationwide manhunt on for him, and he will be featured tomorrow (Saturday, September 30) on "America's Most Wanted". Also locally, police are searching for a sociopath who killed and dismembered a local girl, and dumped her body into the river. A mother just killed her baby boy, after having been returned to her by social services when he was taken to the hospital for a fractured arm--at TWO WEEKS old. She claimed to have fallen with the baby in the shower, and they believed her story, only to have her bring him back into the hospital a few weeks later with cerebral edema (swelling of the brain); this time the baby died. Last, but not least, you may remember the man who ran down four people at a McDonald's in GA., killing a two-year-old girl. The family live in our area, and the driver of the car has plead "not guilty".

Ah, yes, wonderful Wisconsin, the wonderful state that brought us Jeffrey Dahmer and Ed Gein. Maybe it's something in the cheese. Despite the occasional oddaball, it's actually a pretty decent state, home of many fine people such as myself. (blush blush) By the way, did you read a couple of weeks ago about the fellow who fell into a vat of chocolate in Milwaukee?

Just the usual. I live in So. CA, so there are wild fires, car chases, shootings. This happens every week.
I have to admit, though, the shooting of the young 16 year old girl was the tops. Poor thing. I guess he molested her and then shot her. That's a horrible way for a nice, young sweet girl to die.

Wow, funny you should ask... there was an 11-year-old boy hit by a car, driven by a TEACHER, who was going 40 MPH PASSING a stopped SCHOOL BUS with its flashing lights on. It threw him out of his shoes, 30 feet, and he was in critical condition, then it was upgraded to fair, and I haven't heard how he is now.
The same day, a pair of middle school kids were crossing a busy interstate taking a shortcut to school, and one of them was hit, also knocked out of his shoes, and also thrown several feet, and I'm not sure if he was killed or not.
