Nintendo Wii is probably a good choice if ur on a budget but PS3 is backward compatible so there is no need to get rid of your PS2 and PS1 libraries .

Wait for the Wii. PS3's aren't changing very much from the PS2's except for the graphics. There's so much more you can do with the Wii. I'll admit the new controller looks kinda weird and will take some getting used to, but I think it'll catch on. I can't believe what Nintendo has done with the Wii. It's amazing! They've really got a lot going for them. It's gonna be hard for XBOX and PlayStation to beat this. They'll have to come out with their own version of it, but even then, Nintendo thought of it first. I like how Nintendo's always trying something new and different. Microsoft and Sony have just increased the graphics quality. But Nintendo is taking it to a whole new level. That's just my opinion. :)

Sweet! My birthday is on Nov 17 too! :)
I'm trying to convince my wife to get me a PS3, but I'm thinking it might be hard to get one on opening day. I'm going to wait until Final Fantasy 13 comes out for PS3 and then I'll buy the system.
