i think so...now let me say...women have more control over whether or not the relationship remains platonic.
If she is not attracted to the man in any way, the friendship may last. But if she finds him attractive, at some point she will flirt, look longer than she should, show jealousy or do something to let the man know he might have a chance. The man (whether he is really attracted or not), being faithful to the "wrong head thinking theory' will have to at least come on to his friend. If it goes too far you become friends who REALLY know each other(smile)...
Men dont be mad..im just having fun

Yes,Boys and Girls can be "just friends". Why shouldn't they.I,personally have more guy friends then girls. If you are a girl it is nice for you to have some guy friends because if you get in a little scrap with them it will be for a little hour or a whole day and if you are friends with a girl you will stay in a fight for as long as ever.If you are a boy and you are friends with a girl stay with that girl because she can hook you up with many other (hot) girls. If you a man and are friends with a guy sometimes you will be jealous of him and maybe hate him.

So my advice ends here I say Yes men and women, girls and boys can be 'just friends'.

I asked that a few days ago. I am not sure. I think that eventually sex comes into play, if it hasn't already. However, I think that if both people feel the same degree of caring about each other, it can be successful. Yet, it always seems that one has stronger feelings than the other. I know this doesn't really help, but I am wondering the same thing. And not really getting anywhere.

I have my doubts about that. When people of opposite sex are attracted to each other one might say "we are only friends" but deep, deep down is that hunkering question "What if." I have had many (girl)friends and there was always some flirting going on, light touching, a Little peck on the cheek. It was play making for the big game.

Yes I have a very good friend of the opposite sex and we are just friends. We know that if we ever crossed that line that the friendship would never be the same and we choose not to cross it. It can be done.

Judging by my experience I say... "NO" men and women can not be friends. I have more male friends than female friends and all of my male friends have ether asked to go out with me or flirtted with me until I put them in there place... as in tell them where I stand with them and let them know that we will remain friends and nothing more
