It means that you are realizing what or who you are. For example an infant doesn't realize that it is a living being, so he/she doesn't contemplate or conceive of the idea of their mortality etc... as they get older they start to realize this.

Coincidences occur all around us and all the time, but most of the time most people remain unaware of them. One definition of "coincidence" is "the occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident but seem to have some connection." That is to say the events are co-incident or occur in the same time frame and may or may not be somehow related but are not causally related. The relation may simply be a temporal one (i.e., occurring at the same time or close in time) or there may be some deeper hidden non-causal connection. If you want to put this to a test try the following: Choose at random 3 short phrases which involve persons, objects or events. These don't need to be familiar to you but if they are they should be ones that you don't encounter too frequently and are not likely to encounter in the next week. For purposes of this demonstration it is best if the phrases you choose are at least somewhat unusual. Write these phrases on a piece of paper and place the paper on your refrigerator or some other place where it will be in easy view and not forgotten or lost. Then go about your usual business for the next few days. Within 2-5 days you are likely to encounter something that will relate closely to one or more of the phrases you have chosen. Coincidence or not? Certainly co-incident. Do this repeatedly and you will become increasingly aware of "coincidences" and have the answer to your question firsthand.

Maybe, it could be that we are now becoming more aware of coincidences. The world is vast and amazing place. We now know more about whats going on in the world at any given moment than ever before. So it follows that the amount of coincidences will also follow suit.

This is a statement that usually refers to being more attuned to the fact that a string of numerous coincedences, when viewed as a whole, may then appear something other than a coincedence.
If a party of 10 go camping and one dies of a heart attack, another drowns, and a third one dies from a seizure, having an increased awareness of coincedences indicates you may be looking for a common thread to tie these together for an explanation, such as one of your campers may be Freddy Kruger in disguise!

Yes:
I do, indeed, think it is spiritual, and awakening of sorts!
I have been pondering the very same thing lately. I have the distinct feeling, there are NO coincidences or accidents, but, instead, if you will, it is all by "design".
I hesitate to use the word "Devine Design", but it should not be an uncomfortable subject to discuss or think about seriously!!

You are listening and are open to your inner gut feelings, its not spritual but psychological. Usually ones mind, in its conscious self, does not allow abnormalities to be on the forefront of anything as this is against the logical flow of thought...the left side of the brain being more dominant. In allowing coincidences to become a part of reality you are allowing the right side of the brain to work, which is always great because you get more out of life in principle

You could go that way or back off and take a view of the larger picture. Coincidences are merely the intersection of life paths in a restricted environment.

depends on what you call coincidences.you could have eloborated.
let me cite my own example , i believe in a form of god , and that god has ever so often directed my attention to his symbols or the symbols which i have come to believe are his.
and this happens a lot of times i go out. and sometimes during important momemts . i experience it. it's an experience it's not a coincidence. i hope it's the same for you. But always have the "rational "cap on your head to prevent foolish suggestions in your head.
and if you have the same experience like this , it surely means that there's an inner opening .
others will not understand this .

It means that you are becoming aware of what you manifest into your reality. Seeing them gives you the abilty to not only understand, but to take responsibility. Congratulations the door has opened for you, now to only walk through it, that is the challenge. I wish you well

It means you are looking for them.
You can find coincidences anywhere you want to. Finding them means you are open to finding them and labelling them as such.
