No the only thin g that determinds skin color and such things like that are the mom and dads genes (its scientific stuff) meaning your blood and what you look like and her blood and what she looks like---it will combined and make the look for the baby---- and no her thoughts are her own the baby cant hear them unless said out loud and even then cannot understand it..... her voice may be comforting and the dads but thats all.... good luck with your baby!

I'm pretty sure the food you eat won't affect the skin color, but I do know that if you eat healthy while pregnant your baby will be stronger and smarter than if you eat stuff that's not good for you. As for thoughts during pregnancy, I believe that if you are as calm as you can be while pregnant then your baby will be calmer too.
I'm a hyper person but while I was pregnant I stayed as calm as possible and my son has a very sweet disposition. He is always active but he doesn't cry unless he needs something. I believe that even though some of your childs personality is genetic you can also affect the personality environmentally before the child is even born.

Think of it this way...
If food taken during pregnancy affects the child's skincolor then the mother's skin color would be changing too. Is it? Probably not.

It does matter what kinds of foods you intact however on the baby's health. Even though the baby gets what it needs and leaves the mother to take the leftovers doesn't mean either of you are getting a necessity. Make sure to take prenatal vitamins because it contains folic acid much needed for the baby's development. Things to stay away from is diet sodas, anything with caffeine, sweets & fatty foods, dying your hair, painting, or excessive cleaning.

There are CERTAIN foods you have to be careful of, for example:
- liver or liver products (contains too much vitamin A which causes defects early on)
- soft, unpasteurized cheeses (like roquefort, feta and so on)which can contain listeria, a dangerous bacteria for pregnant women.
- certain types of fish, like the tilefish which are high in pcb's and mercury.
This is only a shortlist though, your doctor can give you complete information on what to avoid during pregnancy.

As for thoughts that might affect your baby, I would be more concerned about what the nature of these thoughts are (depression-based for example?) and whether or not they will affect your ability to be an effective mother. You should mention any depressive thoughts or emotions to your doctor because this can indicate a dangerous condition fairly common to expectant and newly delivered mothers called 'post-partum depression.'
Best of luck to you and talk with your doc!!

Your baby's skin color is determined by genes not what you eat.Are you retarded this must be a joke.If that were true my son would be green because i was addicted to broccoli while i was pregnant with him.Thoughts will not have an affect on your child.Things that would affect your child would be cigarette smoke(not meaning hes going to come out an light up a smoke) but that could affect him.If the mother is stressed which i'm sure the mother of your child is due to your uneducated theories, that could affect him.If your a white guy and shes white and your baby comes out with a tan it won't be because she ate chocolate . You are a moron.

Haven't ever heard about the food thing. But my mother-in-law claims that if you cry a lot when you are pregnant, you will have a "sensitive" child. She said she cried all the time when she was pregnant, and now my husband gets mushy over movies lol.

Does food help in the process of baby's looks?
NO . food plays no role in genetic coding.

But food does play an important role of nourishment.
