Put your washer through a few cycles (no clothes). Make sure the water is like steaming hot, pure in some bleach and let it run over and over until the smell gets out. It maight take more than a few times, but eventually it'll work.

what kind of smell? try running the washer with hot water and some bleach in it see if that helps. Leave the lid of the washer up when you are done running it helps eliminate a musty smell

Run a gallon of vinegar through a hot wash cycle. Leave the lid open when allowed so it's not too strong of a smell.

Fill with hot water and half gallon bleach. With lid open to keep the vapors from over coming you later, allow at least 1 hour of contact time and then add a slight amount of soap to the water and run a regular cycle.

Are you sure the smell isn't coming from standing water in the hoses TO your washer? That's usually what happens. You have to disconnect them and drain them.

I agree with bleach, or vinegar. I don't know how good baking soda and vinegar together would be for your washer, works great in the kitchen sink though!

Good luck to you!! P.S. I also suggest leaving the lid on washer open...even if only each night. It gives it a chance to air out after it's cleaned.

Hot water, baking soda, run machine. Afterwards, leave lid open to prevent the smell.
