please, of course it is regeneration has occured even in the most bleak of circumstances. and believe this you may have more to do with this than you understand.remain optimistic allways.

Yes, I had surgery done a year ago and the nerves were severed, but slowly, they reattached and repaired itself. I think I gained back 80% of my sensation in the incision. I understand that some people may never get the nerves reconnected and feel numbness in the incision area. The body is pretty amazing when it comes to repairing itself when it was traumatized.

Yes it's possible, but there's no guarantee. Even if you had the most skilled neurosurgeon on the planet doing the work, you may not regain function and feeling. On the other hand, you may have had the work done by your average garden-variety neurosurgeon and it may be 100% successful. You never know with nerves...

It is possible but it takes a substantial amount of time and lots of theraputic excercise to rejuvenate the nerve cells/function.

My friend cut off all his fingers on one hand on a radial arm saw. They reattched 3 of them about 6 hours after the accident.
After about 2 years he had reasonable function in the 3 fingers they had been able to reattach.
