No. The Aliens don't need a mere couple of samples of species from other worlds for their "zoos". They build entire planets to house their displays. Our entire world is a Zoo. We occassionally see some of the patrons of the Zoo when they get careless.

Yes. See the time travel stories of Billy Pilgrim within the book "Slaughterhouse five-The Children's Crusade" by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr
This will give you some possible insight into the reality of your question. Aliens do exist. I have had 2 encounters that I recall, but I do not believe I have been taken that far.

You will find that there are plenty of people out there that swear they've spent time in the company of aliens!!
I like the idea of the zoo to explain why they stay missing, though deep down I suspect they keep the friendlier ones as pets.

Oh totally. Thats got to be how wild animals think when a family member goes missing "Crap, they got Jim!!"

Then when they return them to the wild, everyone thinks Jim the tiger is nuts. "I swear man, they made me mate with this ugly chick and put me in this fake jungle where these naked monkeys in clothes stared at me and took pictures!"
