I was hired as an asst. manager, I was full on training counting money closing , opening. For 3 weeks, then my back ground check came back. They suspended me. Shouldnt they have done all that before they hired me?

Sorry you lost the Job I am sure you were not honest at the interview. Sometimes when you are really convincing at an interview they take you on whilst they do the background checks.
However, ideally, they should have done the checks before hiring you. Better luck next time

Yes, certainly. However it doesn't sound as if you're surprised to be fired based on your background check, maybe you should have revealed a bit more in the interview phase of your relationship?

If you've been suspended, not fired and have performed well up until the BG check came back, maybe you ought to speak with your supervisor or whomever made the decision and ask that you be immediately reinstated, even if it's with additional supervision. Don't forget to address the reason.

Finally, are you sure it's the background check that did it? Or did you slip-up?

Did they say the suspended you based on something in your background check or for something else? Have your drawers been short? If you handle money and your background check revealed that maybe you stole money before or have very bad credit then that is why they may have suspended you, and they have that right. Maybe they found out information that contradicted what you put on your application. I think it is always a good idea to have a thorough background check BEFORE offering a job, but not every company is like that.

Sometimes they hire you contingent on background check and you could start working before the result. If that was on your employment contract, they could dismiss you. What was so bad that they had to suspend you??

Criminal back ground? They have a question on every app. Have you ever been convicted? If you lied on the app. they can and do terminate you.
