It's spooky. The curse is batting 1.0000

Look at who appeared on the Madden cover and consider the nasty injuries they suffered during those same years:

(Only Eddie didn't get something broken or require surgery, but for him the 2001 season just sucked)

07 - Shaun Alexander
06 - Donovan McNabb
05 - Ray Lewis
04 - Michael Vick
03 - Marshall Faulk
02 - Daunte Culpepper
01 - Eddie George

I notice C-Man didn't note Barry Sanders, the first on the cover who abruptly retired. Not an injury but come on he was that close to the record and said forget even trying I can't stand to be on this team. It has been going on ever since. Yeah you can either call it real or call it self-fulfilling prophecy, which is what curses are. They get it in their head that something will happen and somehow it always does. Yeah to get injuries is kinda an odd self-fulfillment but it can happen.
