If everyone who says we should give up some civil liberties (fourth amendment, wiretapping bill) for freedom and safety, will you give up your right to bear arms when/if the government says:

"Terrorists are in our midst. They are in the shadows, hiding in the dark and waiting to strike. We don't know who they are, but we will find them. It is in the best interest of the American people that we disarm them, rendering them almost harmless. This is why it is in the best interest of the American people that we strictly regualte the use and sales of civilian arms. We must limit the flow of arsenal that makes their way into terrorist hands and thus we have to place our hands on the vein that pumps that flow into the terrorist community. Today I ask the American people to report and record the arms held in your homes and, if need be, place them in the hands of our Department of Homeland Security in order to maintain peace of mind that they will not find their way into enemy hands."

Here's what happened when people like you told others to give up their guns...

In 1929 the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929-1953, approx.
20 million people were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915-1917, 1.5 million Armenians were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938. From 1939-1945, 13 million Jews, gypsies and others were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948-1952, 20 million political
dissidents were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. from 1964-1981, 100,000 Mayan
Indians were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971-1979, 300,000 Christians
were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975-1977, one million “educated” people were rounded up and exterminated.

That places total victims who lost their lives because they couldn't defend themselves because of gun control at approximately 56 million in the last century.

I don't know about you but I personally do not want to be apart of that 56 million.

Whoever you are quoting is and absolute IDIOT !!!!

There are hundreds of millions of guns in this country. Everybody knows that, especially the terrorist and the other countries that might think about invading the United States of America.

American gun owners constitute the largest, most loyal, defensive army in the world.

The Democrat-Liberal or whatever GUN-GRABBERS think if me and thousands of other Americans turn in our legally purchased guns, this will somehow eliminate the illegal gun trade and it will suddenly vanish. No more bad-guys with guns.

Like, all the guns will magically go away !

Oh, Please !! What trash!

The Second Amendment allows the American citizen to protect his home and family from criminals, terrorist AND, our own Government.

In Great Britain you can't have a gun, knife or even a slingshot.
Guess what? Violent crime is running rampant !!!

Like I always say:

" My Right To Have A Gun, Protects Your Right To Bit*h About It "

And I'm happy with that!

The right to bear arms is for our protection, and for the protection of people like you who do not feel comfortable carrying a weapon.
If you take away a cavilians only defense against terrorism where are we? I say everyone who is qualified to carry a gun, go out and get one, for god's sake arm yourself and protect your family.
You base this decision on the fact that terrorists are a civilions main threat in this country, thats not true but I will go along with it as though they are... Ok, terrorists will not have a problem accessing arms, whether they go to a store and buy it or they go through their local black market arms dealer. Its impossible to stop the the movement of weapons around this country, lol, sorry but that is the most rediculous thing i have ever heard.
I am currently in iraq and i thank god i have a weapon everyday.
so like i said, people please protect you and your family, buy a gun today.

I'll make a deal with you. We will do a test of government efficiency. When the government takes away all the illegal drugs from the drugies, we'll talk. When they have accomplished that, then they can start taking away guns from us. They allready don't allow criminals to have guns, right.
One point you are missing. We don't offer foreign known terrorists the same rights as we do our citizens. When known terrorists, call the cell leaders in America you definately want to know what they are saying. The reason why it has to be warrentless is that they use disposible phones, and when you get a warrent it is for a specific number. They know how to outsmart our system. And you are buying the mis information that the liberals are feeding you. they will get you killed. be cautous and use your head. Don't just listen to what others are saying, think.

According to the writings of Thomas Jefferson, the only reason that the second amendments exist is so the people have the power to defend themselves against their government or to overthrow the government if the government gets corrupted and starts to be a tyrannical.

The second amendment has not had any meaning since the illegalization of any type of weapon. The liberals have already destroyed our constitutional means to prevent this oppressive government that we now have.

If it came to that, I would no longer be law-abiding and they will have to kill me to get them. Of course, they'll have to find me first!
I believe in all of our rights equally. It is what makes America who we are. Sometimes I fear that this could happen, but I seriously doubt it. There are too many of us "gun freaks" that are law-abiding and vote.
People need to remember all of our rights and the Constitution better when they vote. In fact, a copy should be placed in all voting houses, where everybody can read it. I am sure that it exists in some, but I have never seen it when I have voted, although most of my voting was by absentee ballot due to being in the Navy.

Why should we give up the ability to protect ourselves, when
anyone (including terrorists & drug dealers) can buy and sell
any type of gun on the street? The guns you can buy in the
stores are not the choice of gun anyone wants or uses.
Assault rifles and automatics are the guns that will be used
when a war is waged on our home land.

You want to hurt the terroists???
QUIT buying items from there stores / gas stations /
flea markets. America needs to unite against our
future war (on our land).

No. Nobody should surrender that right. Terrorists get guns out of the normal channels while you don´t. The only result would be to disarm the good guys and leave the bad guys with all the guns.
that would be stupid.

I am going to keep my guns, I have owned guns since I was 9 years old and I have never harmed another human being. If they come to get my guns they are going to have to pry them out of my cold dead fingers. I am a democrat.
