and start realizing that the current management /ownership don't give a damn about you and whether they win the Stanley Cup. Every LEAF fan should be screaming a the top of their lungs at this ineptitude. The Black Hawks will win the cup before the Leafs ever do. It is so bad in Toronto that there is talk of retiring Tie Domi's #. Are you serious? Pathetic and always will be.

The Leafs have only 2 retired numbers, and like 12 honoured numbers. if they would retire Domi's number is cause they don't no **** about what a player is to be. Syl Apps number is not even retired not even Dave Keon so to retire Domi's number over them is an insult to the Leafs and to hockey it's self. I always ask the same question about when the Leafs fans will realize that the owners are more interested about making the money not winning the Stanley cup. Because if you win the cup you will need to empty your pockets to pay this players bonus and they will want more money for the following season. it's been like that since the Ballard days. and the Leafs fans keep think8ing they are the most loyal fans in the league, well their not. it's just their team never wins anything and they still cheer, it's not my fault that the Habs keep winning more then the Leafs, sure i know the went through the Dark Ages but they are showing some much improvement over the past couple of years and with Bob Gainey around the Habs could be in the hunt for Lord Stanley in the next few years. i live in Kingston Ontario, and you don't see to many people wearing Leafs hats, but i bet once they really start winning then you will start to see more of them out there, thats not a true loyal fan. like i went to Canadas wonderland this summer i seen more people wearing Habs hats then Leafs hats, and that in Toronto. Don Cherry keeps saying that Kingston is all Leafs fans, well their is more Habs and Sens fans in Kingston. and allot of Leafs fans are changing over to the Sens cause they keep a good team on the ice every year.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a huge Leafs fan. I'm 20 years old so I've never seen them win the cup though I do remember Gretzy spoiling Gilmoure's drive for the Cup.

When will we give up? At the end of every darn season when our dreams are crushed into the ground beneath John Ferguson's feet. I really wish they'd fire him by the way - can't stand the man. But... every season our hopes are once more built up until they once more fall.

Toronto can on occasion be a great team - it's the penalties that help make them suck. Sundin is one of the greatest players out there as is McCabe and various other players.

This preseason? Once more we suck. They'll go on a great run once the season starts only to fall after the break in the new year. They'll then struggle until they become brilliant for the last few weeks before the playoffs.

Disappointing but true - yet every year I stand in line to have my heart broken like the rest.

No they gained't. yet a number of those self claimed experts of the sport think of that their awareness of Leaf hating is right. they're lots greater over final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and mutually as a season is lots extra desirable than the final 25 video games the place they have been ideal 8. There should not be a repeat of the season start up final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days the place they have been backside feeders. The self serving gamers have long previous. a number of them would be ignored. yet as my mom used to declare you won't be able to make an omelette without breaking eggs. The Leafs had the worst objective tending in the league final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days earlier the Giguere commerce. Giguere's GAA wide-unfold in Toronto became a million.17 objectives in keeping with activity extra desirable than Toskala's. no remember the type you look at it that would desire to enhance the group's status via 5-6 places on my own. My enormous prediction - in the subsequent 3 years Kessel will outscore Tyler Seguin, Jared Knight and next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days's Boston %. blended. and that i'm not inclusive of the 300 and sixty 5 days that the Leafs have already got with Kessel under contract. lower back as my mom used to declare a chicken in the hand is nicely worth 3 in the bush.

I'm not a Leafs fan but to me you sound like you have a big vendetta against them or something. In matter of fact, I hate the Leafs a lot but if management didn't care about winning the Cup they wouldn't have signed better players.

I do agree that them thinking of retiring Tie Domi's number is insane. What are they thinking?!

Never. They are the Cubs' fans of the NHL.

To think the Hawks will win, I'd have agreed with you in the '7os or even Keenan era but didn't happen...and won't until Wirtz family lets go of the franchise.

Tie Dopey's # can't be retired as the Make Beliefs do not retire #'s. They "honor" them with banners (yep, only in T.O. can they screw up what is a time-honored tradition in all sports) and Tie won't be "honored." You made that up.

If he is, they may as well honor Pat Boutette, Dan Daoust and Claire "the Milkman" Alexander.

Yours,

Todd Gill

Leafs fans and Leaf Nation lives and breaths everywhere in Canada. They hide all year til their pathetic Leafs roll into town.
Leafs fans live in a fairy world where everyday is bliss, little smurfs named Tucker run around all day and sing happy songs.
I think they must be putting something in their beer there...

HA! The Leafs have Sundin and McCabe. They also have young guns Steen and Wellwood. Just watch Raycroft bounce back and be the one of best goalies in the league. Oh yeah, we have Justin Pogge in the minors ready to come into the NHL. Within five years from now, the Leafs will get a Cup. Chicago??? Wait until they figure out how to get into the playoffs.

Pandana--what better players did the Leafs sign?!?! The only thing the Leafs have going for them is a loyal fan base.

Leaf fans are a the most unknowledgable hockey fans around now.
Dumi is a good point in this. They love this guy to death and he's done nothing worth while in helping the team win a cup...In fact he costed them a chance at it when he knocked out Niedermayer out a few years back.
Plus the guy is a cheating scum bag, and I hope he burns/rots in hell.
