Because after 9 monhts of a completely mediocre term, a footnote of a one-term president decided that a war was just what he needed to get his approval ratings up and the only way to have any hope of being anything more then the result of an insult on the American electoral process. That, and our country was getting stagnant, and what better way to re-spark an interest in politics then by giving us something meaningful to bicker about?

Plenty of Oil in African countries and we don't ever interfere there, how do you explain that? Plenty of Oil in Mexico too.... why haven't we invaded there if we do so only for OIL? Do liberals ever think or do they just repeat what the TV tells them?

Exactly. Why do you think oil prices go up (especially after a horrific incident in Iraq) its because there thoughts that there a defenseless country with a weak power and would be easy to gain control over are flagged.

If they are so defenseless why are thousands dying to protect your dumb a@@? Learn the facts! Oil has nothing to do with stopping a regime that wants nothing more than to eliminate people who don't share their beliefs.
