Hi! we are traveling in Europe and I would like to know if we bought a new lap top in a foreign country can we change the language by using the clean up disks? We have an English bought Acer at the moment and when I have used the clean up discs it says to press "F2" I think, when it is booting up, in this I can put in any language I want, does this change the language for the whole computer and is it the same for all lap tops. The first lap top we bought we bought in Spain and they charged us extra for Windows in English is this normal or were we ripped off?

Pressing F2 merely allows you to change the boot up settings - not the settings on the computer itself. If you run the restore disks it should take you through set up again and will allow you to choose the language - this relies on you having the disks for your operating system.
