Disappointed with many of the bashers and other ignoramuses who lurk on YA. Forturnatly, YA is not the extent of my contact with others and I know adult, thoughtful , educated civil people in the "real" world.

The thing about America is, we have free sepech. When you live in a country that values everyone's right to have their own opinion, there are going to many different opinions on any given issue.
If someone from your country says that your country is the best because you make the best ice cream, does that mean that EVERYONE in the country feels that way??
I am not dissapointed to be lumped together with other Americans, because I am an American. While I do not agree with the arrogant positions of many Americans, who am I to decide what people should be allowed to feel? That's the best part about being an American; the right to have your own opinion, and voice it publicaly wihtout any repurcussions.
I am not dissapointed in other Americans, but rather feel sorry for them for not knowing better. The may have "idiotic views", but it is their right to have those views, and I realize that just because one person from a counrty feels a certain way does not mean that all people from that country feel that way. I guess that is one of the reasonsn people feel they can provide responses like this; our society ENCOURAGES us to develop our own opinions and beliefs and to stand behind them no matter what.
If I ask someone from your country a question and get an idiotic response, does that meant that YOU are an idiot, or embarrased to be from the same conutry as them?

Anyone with any sense knows that not all Americans are flag waving zealots. Every country has weirdos, we've plenty over here in Europe, and lots of arrogance too (we like to think ourselves rather mature... you can almost hear the "Been there, done that" thoughts everytime the US blunders into another ill conceived war). You've got a great country. It's damn far from perfect, believe me, but it's not a bad place and you aren't bad people. Having said that, it takes a very, very hard slap to take away your arrogance. Britiain lost her empire, France were invaded by Germany, Germany lost the war. These kind of things instill a little humility. America will have events like these too, it's the way things are, it's part of growing up as a planet. They hurt, but they make a better country in the end

Got It In One Babe.
(P.S. I'm Not American And From Outside In Another Country, I Tell Ya what, It's Getting Pretty Hard Not To Lump You Guys All Into One Nasty Stereotype.)
If you don't don't like whats going on you should be out there protesting everyday (Make A Stand To Save What little decency your country has left. Then U Can Count Your Self As Seperate From The Stereotype.), If you are complacent and just talk about things and you are an American citizen, you are just as much part of the future of the problem as much as the The current govt. is and that's a pretty nasty little box to be put in.
you have the power to make a difference no matter how small.
so unless you try all you can and i mean ALL YOU CAN, You will & Should be in that stereotype.
HOPE THIS HELPED.

The main reason so many seem to hate America is because America is the most powerful nation on earth. Did you ever notice in a movie when a big powerful bull of a guy is in a scrap with someone much smaller, everyone is wishing the smaller one would smash the big bull ?
So, no matter what we do , or don't do, because we're the cock-of-the-rock everyone would like to knock us off. Remember, if you can't climb up any higher, try your best to knock the top guy down.
One of the reasons America started way behind so many other nations but rose to the top is our philosophy of government. We have a way of cleaning out the bad, and hoping for the better.
Many other countries are stuck with dictators or greedy leaders who skim off all the goodies for themselves and their friends. Many countries are held back by religious leaders and others by ancient voo- doo.
Juvenile idiots ? We sure do have more than our share here on answers. They take the popular route. Knock the President, the army, everything the government is doing, without having the slightest idea of just what's going on.

it is been obvious by way of the instruct's history that the final style would not unavoidably win. If that have been the case, final season's winner would not have gained. If that have been the case, Heather might have gained this cycle. Saleisha's race actual became a plus for her. there have been black winners earlier, in spite of the undeniable fact that it is been obvious that the instruct tries to be politically maximum appropriate via nighttime out the races so a ways as winners. it will be thrilling to be certain what happens with the full controversy approximately Saleisha's expert previous, yet i'm particular the instruct became arranged for a manner they might handle that as quickly because it got here out (they had to understand it would come out). Chantal became very for sure the 2d ultimate after Heather. lots of the previous contestants have spoken approximately how the instruct is extra of a actuality instruct than a modeling contest, and permit's settle for it-it is why human beings watch.

i think alot of it has to do with how a person is raised at first, what points of view do parents instill in their kids and how they form their own opinions as they grow up as to having an open mind, not tunnel vision. For instance-which war do we as americans focus on more. Iraq or North Korea.Who supports the president vs who are against him. As a military sister of 3 war vetran brothers-my support will always be with the troops over the president no matter what war. So as for being lumped together with idiotic views-yes.Disappointment in other americans-yes.in life u have to be able to accept disappoitment-no matter where u come from, what lifestyle u were born in to or what u are passionate about. History past and present speak for itself.

Yes, I hate it when people get all arrogant like, we're the best country in the world so we can do whatever we want! I get embarrassed and I hope people from other countries realize that not all Americans feel like that.

I am disappointed in society as a whole. 30 years ago we were a safer and more effective society. The U.S. is at a decline when it comes to respect, privacy, and many other reasons. You can't blame this on the president either, we can only blame ourselves (and our failing educational systems). Check out tsowell.com, he really puts America truth into perspective.
