it's true that women take it well then men. I would just talk to my son/daughter and be by his/her side supporting him/her because after all he/she is my son/daughter it doesn't matter if he/she likes other guys/girls it happens and we need to be by their side supporting them.

Women has always handled things better than men. My brother is gay and has been as long as I can remember. My sisters didn't know until he told them and they went totally berserk. My other brother and I knew he was gay before he even went to high school.
But, if any of my children told me they were gay, I would still love them like I always had. I would not question how they feel and I would still respect them for who they are.

I was fierous, how dare an overbearing same sex person introduce thier behaviors onto some naive person, but Ididn't let my child know that.
Although I chose not to make the child feel Less Than, Nor Mock, Nor Did I confront theother person because that was an experience only my child's god could walk her through, I just wanted her to know I was there for her should sheneed or wanted to vent.

MAybe you're right, women handle it better - I know when one of my friends told us he was gay, I was a little freaked out for a few days, until I realized the problem was me and not him - and we're still friends to this day (10 years later) But one of our girl friends accepted it straight away.
Aloha!!

Depends on the woman really. When my son came out I was fine whilst my wife now reads nothing but the bible and burnt down a local gay bar.

ce la vie.

it would not bother me at all. I love my children and what ever sexual preference they choose is fine my me, Your sexually only makes up a small part of your personally and if they live a well rounded life I don't think you could ask for much more.
