As the pregnancy progresses, the uterus presses down on the bladder causing the bladder to press on the utethra. The shorter urethra allows bacteria to travel more easily because it's a shorter trip than when you're not pregnant.
Drink plenty of water and be sure to wipe front to back. And, drink cranberry juice.

I am one month pregnant, and when I was probably about 2 weeks pregnant, I didnt actually know i was pregnant, i thought it was a UTI too.... Thats a good question! It must be something in your body because i didnt do anything different and still felt like i had a UTI. Glad someone else had this too! Good luck with your beauitful baby!

because of some changes in your vaginal pH and secretions, that's a good media for bacterial growth! wash with soap and water, and wear cotton loose panties!

imuune system is lower, ph is different and while pregnant there is more bacteria in the tubes and vaginal area.
