Depends on where you are, really. I've heard that there are slightly more baby girls born than baby boys, generally. Boys and young men have higher rates of accidental death and successful suicide than girls and young women do, and men are more likely to get genetic diseases. Women, especially in poor countries, can die in childbirth, though. I think it generally evens out, with maybe a few more women around than men, unless it's a special case. Thanks to ultrasound, abortions, and a preference for boys, there are places in China and India where there are many more boys and young men than girls and women.

each man is allowed one woman. That's the RATION. I'm sure you meant RATIO though. So, there's a few more women than men, right? I'm never sure. I know there's always more girls in my classes at school, but that's because i'm in the smart classes ;-)
